Thing #13 - my delcious

I'm skipping ahead a little just so I can cross this one off my list. I've been using del.icio.us for a few months now. Here's mine: http://del.icio.us/jerianne. I set this up so I could keep track of websites promoting zine events & other zine news, and make that bookmarked list available to other people who contribute to Zine World (the zine I publish; ask if you want more info).

I think del.icio.us is a really handy site. I could definitely use this at work, too. Over the past year, I've been using 2 different computers: one at MGL and one at Linebaugh. So of course I now have two different sets of bookmarks. With del.icio.us, I could access the same bookmarks from either computer. I could also see this as a good way for multiple staff to share bookmarks -- Reference staff at both branches, or among all the Circ computers.

Incidentally, this has been one of the few websites where I could actually sign up with "jerianne" as my user name. As uncommon as my name is, almost everywhere I go online, some other Jerianne has already beat me there.
